Now that you know how to
use a table on a word document, did you know you could drag objects into a table
and drop them?
How
To: Activity 1...Shapes
| Cube
|
Rectangle |
| Octagon | Rhombus |
| Triangle | Cylinder |
Just make your basic table, follow the directions in the tutorial for the Web Quest.
In this case, for the shapes:
first you need to go to View on the gray navigation toolbar
make sure the Drawing toolbar is checked, the drawing toolbar will appear at the bottom of the window.

Click on Auto
Shapes and a second box appears, select the shape you would like.
Now when you move your
cursor over the page it becomes a cross-hair. Click the mouse and hold it down
as you move the shape to the size you desire.
Want to color it, click on the shape to select it (little boxes appear on it's
border) then choose a color by clicking on the paint can. (Also on the drawing
toolbar)
Once you have all of your shapes and
your table is complete, save your project. Students will open your project, save
it under their name (to preserve the original), then Drag
& Drop. You can do the
same with any content area...instead of shapes use the Insert...Clip Art.
